Hello, I am Olivia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Springfield, United States.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of learning by trial. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Breeze Bay Beacon
Most information online boiled down to corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever real changes occur
This site isn't:
- Not an official tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United States continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Springfield or anywhere in United States, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
